Hotel Royal Description

One of the oldest Belgrade hotels, The Royal Hotel is located literally in heart of the city just 200 metres away from Knez Mihajlova Street. It is just a stone¿s throw from Kalemegdan fortress and within easy walking distance of the National Theatre and other cultural monuments. Easy access to public transport (tram, buses) offers excellent connections with the entire city. This cozy, superior 2 star hotel (locally rated as 3 star) is perfect for guests wishing to explore Belgrade whilst staying on a budget. Offering accommodation in 120 clean rooms with bath, air conditioning, 24/7 room service, television and a continental breakfast included, the hotel also invites guests to its in-house restaurant, serving both international and Serbian cuisine. Also there is a wide range of restaurants and bars very close by, providing a great opportunity to explore the famous Belgrade nightlife (especially eminent Strahinjica Bana street which is only two minutes away). Considered by many to be one of the favourite hotels for foreign tourists visiting Belgrade.

From the direction of Šid: continue straight on the motorway and cross the Gazela Bridge over the Sava River. Immediately after the bridge, turn right into the street named Kneza Miloša. Continue until the Federal Parliament. From the direction of Novi Sad: at the highway junction, turn onto the highway from Šid to Belgrade in the direction of Belgrade, then follow directions above. Guests who come over the Brankova Bridge should continue straight to Terazije, turn left and exit at the Republic Square. From the direction of Pancevo and Zrenjanin: cross the bridge Bulevar despota Stefana to the House of the Serbian Army at Republic Square.

The restaurant is medium sized and decorated in white and brown colours. There are no windows, so the appearance is a little dark, but there is a separate terrace for outside eating. There is a small breakfast room separate from the dining room on another level.

A building from the Communist era, the exterior is very drab and grey and blends in well with its surroundings.

The reception area is small, with the desk located on the right side as you enter. To the left is the bar area with seats. A staircase leads up to an upper level where there is another bar and eating area. There is a large mosaic on one wall, which is a central feature.

A continental breakfast buffet is served daily. Lunch and dinner are offered in buffet form, as a set menu or à la carte.

All rooms have satellite/cable TV and many of them are air-conditioned and heated. The en suite bathroom offers a shower, bath and hairdryer. Other in-room amenities include double or king-size beds, a direct dial telephone, Internet access, a safe, minibar, washing machine and ironing set.
